The author of Bhavishya Purana is Maharishi Ved Vyas Rishi. According to this Purana, it is believed that the number of verses in Bhavishya Purana is actually about 50,000. But with the passage of time, at present only 14,000 verses are received. The Bhavishya Purana has been divided into four festivals namely Brahma Parva, Madhyam Parva, Pratisarga Parva, and Uttara Parva. The Madhyam Parva is divided into three and Pratisarga Parva four in the middle of these. There are chapters included in these four festivals, whose total number is 485.
The stories in Bhavishya Purana are interesting and impressive. The Vetal-Vikram-Samvad in the 23 chapters of the second section of Pratisarga Parva is very delightful and enchanting. The description of Shri Satyanarayan Vratkatha is found in chapters 24 to 29 in the second section of the Pratisarga festival of Bhavishya Purana.

After this, many other fasts which give good luck to women have also been described in detail. There are 208 chapters in this festival. Uttara Parva is a part of Bhavishya Purana, but it is also considered a Bhavishyottara Purana.
There are many such things mentioned in the Bhavishya Purana, which are beyond our understanding. The prediction of Bhavishya Purana seems to be happening. Lord Brahma says in the Bhavishya Purana that if you want to know the nature of a person, then you can know many information by carefully looking at his hair, nails, teeth, etc.
