* குல என்னும் சொல் பல விதங்களில் பொருள் கொள்ளப்படுகிறது. யோக வழிபாட்டு முறையின் படி "புலன்களின் கூட்டு" என்ற அர்த்தமும் கொள்ளப்படுகிறது. அதனால் இந்நாமத்தை புலன்களுக்கு அப்பாற்ப்பட்டவள் என்று விளங்கிக்கொள்ளலாம். எவ்வகையில் பொருள் கொண்டாலும், "எல்லைகளற்று பரவியிருப்பவள்" என்ற ஆழ்பொருள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது. நிர்குண பிரம்மத்தின் நிலைபாட்டிலிருந்து பேசப்படும் நாமம்.
