Naradha Purana

 Let us know the Puranas::

Naradha Purana (Disbelievers do not read further)
Narada Purana is also called Vaishnava Purana. It is one of the 18 Puranas composed by Maharishi Vyasa. Narada Purana describes the worship of Lord Vishnu in detail.
In this Purana, descriptions of education, Kalpa, grammar, mathematics, and verse-shastras are also found. Narada Purana is the only Purana in which the index of 18 Puranas is found.
Introduction:-
Narada Purana contains 207 chapters and 22,000 verses. Devarshi Narada himself had narrated to Maharishi Sanaka i.e. one of the four mind-born sons of Brahma. (Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana and Sanat Kumara)
Maha Muni Suta narrated this in ‘Naimisharanya’ in a huge
assembly of twenty-six thousand sages under the leadership of Saunaka. Narada Purana is divided into two parts, the first part is the ‘Purva‘ part and the second part is the ‘Uttara‘ part.
Pre-Part:- (Purva)
There are 125 chapters in this part of Narada Purana. This part of the Narada Purana contains four chapters detailing the origin of the universe, the application of mantras, rituals, and worship through fasts. The index of the eighteen Puranas and the number of verses of the Puranas are also mentioned in this part.
The various stages of knowledge are described in this section.
Historical tales, secret religious rituals, the nature of religion, strange and eccentric stories showing the importance of devotion, grammar, nirukta, astrology, mantra science, stories related to fasting dates of twelve months, etc are mentioned.
Answer part:- (Uthara)
There are 82 chapters in this part of Narada Purana. In this part, the Vedas are divided into six parts. These organs are education, Kalpa, grammar, nirukta, verses, and astrology.
education:-
Research on the method of pronunciation of vowels, letters, etc. Characteristics of verses, melody, tone, and unconsciousness, etc. are narrated. Sages of mantras, verses and introduction of deities, and ritualistic description of Ganesha worship are also found in this section.
Kalp:-
In the Kalpa, the subject of Havan, Yagya, rituals, etc. has been told. It also gives a description of the time calculation. A period of fourteen manvantaras, called one day of Brahma, is called the calculation of time.
Grammer:-
A detailed description of the form of words, their accomplishment, etc. have been given in the grammar.
Nirukta :-
In Nirukta the choice of words is considered. The rooting compound and yogic form of words have been explained in detail.
Astrology:-
In astrology, the knowledge of subjects like mathematics part, Jatak i.e. Hora skandha or the fruit of planets and constellations, the motion of planets, sun transition, etc. have been explained in a very
good manner.
Verse:-
The description of the characteristics of Vedic and temporal verses etc. is found in the verses. These verses are considered to be the steps of the Vedas because without them there is no movement of the Vedas. In the Vedic verses, there are distinctions like Gayatri, Shambari and Atishambari, whereas in the worldly verses there are distinctions of ‘Matrik’ and ‘Varnik’.
Mantras of worship of Shiva and Kali are also found in Narada Purana. In this Purana, along with the worship of Vishnu, the law of worship of Rama is also found.
Caution:
Narada Purana should not be recited in front of such people who have committed cow slaughter and blasphemy. Because in the Narada Purana, cow slaughter and blasphemy are considered as great sins.
