() குமுத = சிவப்புத் தாமரை - அல்லி

ஆஹ்லாத = ஆனந்தமளித்து 

கௌமுதி = நிலவொளி

நயன = கண்கள் 

மஹா காமேஷ = சிவன்

#403 மஹா காமேஷ நயன குமுதஹ்லாத கௌமுதி = மதியொளியைப் போன்ற தனது இருப்பினால் மகிழ்வூட்டி, சிவனின் தாமரையொத்த கண்களை மலரச்செய்பவள்

() ஹார்த = அன்பு - பிரியம்

தம / தமஸ் = தமோ குணம்

பேத = வித்தியாசம் - பேதம்

பானுமத் = சூரியன் - பிரகாசம்

சந்ததி: = சர வரிசைத் தொடர் - சூரியக்கதிர்

#404 பக்த ஹார்த தமோ பேத பானுமத் பானு சந்ததி: ; = பக்தர்களிடத்தில் கொண்ட அளப்பரிய பரிவினால், அவர் மனதில் படிந்திருக்கும் அறியாமை எனும் இருளை தனது சூரியக்கதிர் போன்ற பிரகாசத்தால் அகலச்செய்பவள்

() தூத் = தூதன் - தூது செல்பவன்

#405 ஷிவதூதி = சிவனை தன் பிரதிநிதியாக்கியவள்

#406 ஷிவ-ஆராத்யா = சிவனால் வணங்கி ஆராதிக்கப்படுபவள்

#407 = ஷிவமூர்த்தி = சிவஸ்வரூபமானவள்

() கர = வழங்குதல் - அளித்தல் - செய்தல்

    ஷிவ = சௌபாக்கியம்

#408 ஷிவங்கரீ = சௌபாக்கியம் அருள்பவள் - சுபமங்களங்களுக்கு காரணமானவள்

#409 ஷிவப்ரியா = சிவனுக்கு ப்ரீதியானவள் - சிவனை நேசிப்பவள் (பரஸ்பர அன்பு)

() பரா = வேறான - இன்னொன்று

   அபரா = இன்னொன்றில்லாத = ஒன்றான

   ஷிவ-அபரா = சிவனிலிருந்து வேறானவள் அல்ல *

#410 ஷிவபரா = சிவனிடம் ஒருமித்த பரிபூரண பக்தியை செலுத்துபவள் *

* பக்தர்கள் சிலர் லலிதாம்பிகையை 'பர சிவனாக' கருதி, அவளே சிவத்திற்கும் அப்பாற்பட்டு நிற்பவளான பூரண ப்ரம்மம் என்று உணர்கின்றனர்.

Kumudha = red lotus - water lilly

aahladha = delight - gladden - causing delight

kaumudhi = moonshine - moonlight

nayana = eyes

Maha-Kamesha = Shiva

#403 Maha Kamesha Nayana Kumudha-aahlaadha Kaumudhi =  Whose presence is like the Moonshine causing delight to Shiva who opens his beautiful lotus eyes

Hardha = affection - kindess

Tama / Tamas = Darkness - ignorance

Bedha = difference - contrast 

Bhanumat = Sun - luminous 

Santhathih = expansion - or continuous line i.e. Sunbeam

#404 Bhaktha Hardha tamO bedha bhanumat bhanu santhathi ; = Whose grace is like the luminous Sunbeam which expels the darkness and ignorance from devotees.

#405 ShivaDoothi = She for whom Shiva acts as an envoy

#406 Shiva-aaradhya = Who is worshipped and cherished by Shiva

#407 Shivamoorthi = Who is the form of Lord Shiva

Shiva = Auspicious - benign

#408 Shivankari = Who grants prosperity ; Who causes benevolent things to happen

#409 Shivapriya = Who is fond of Shiva ; Who is dear to Shiva (mutual)

Para = another - other than 

Apara = without another 

Shiva-apara = She is none other than Shiva *

#410 Shivapara = She who has undivided complete devotion upon Shiva *

* Some devotees interpret that, Lalithambika is to be regarded as Para Shiva who surpasses Shiva and hence The Supreme brahman.
