பீடங்களும் அங்க தேவதைகளும்

நித்ய ஷோடஷிகா ரூபா;

ஸ்ரீகண்டார்த்த சரீரிணீ;

ப்ரபாவதீ;

ப்ரபா ரூபா;

ப்ரசித்தா;

பரமேஷ்வரீ;

() ஷோடஷீ = பதினாறு - பதினாறு அம்சம் அல்லது பதினாறு அங்கங்கள்  உடைய

#391 நித்ய ஷோடஷிகா ரூபா = பதினாறு வயது சிறுமியின் வடிவானவள் *

*  பதினாறு வகை ஆசைகளைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் அன்னை, பதினாறு வயது  சிறுமியின் வடிவம் தாங்கியிருக்கிறாள் 

* பதினைந்து சந்திரக் கலைகளின் திதி தேவதைகளை குறிப்பதாகவும் பதினாறாவதான தேவதையாக அம்பாளே அனுகிரஹிக்கிறாள் என்பதும்  பக்தர்களின் கூற்று. ( நித்திய தேவிகளைப் பற்றி முன்பே குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

* நித்திய தேவதைகள், பஞ்சதசாக்ஷரி மந்திர வடிவங்களாகின்றனர்.  பதினாறாவது அசையாக (மாத்திரை) அம்பாள் லலிதா திரிபுரசுந்தரி பூர்த்தி  செய்வதால் ஷோடஷீ மஹா மந்திரமாகிறது. லலிதாவிற்கு ஷோடஷீ  என்ற பெயரும் உண்டு.

() ஷ்ரீகண்ட் = சிவன் (சிவனின் தொண்டை - கண்டம் - கழுத்து) 

   அர்த்த = பாதி

   ஷரீர = உடல்

#392 ஷ்ரீகண்ட-அர்த்த ஷரீரிணீ = அர்த்தாங்கினியாக விளங்குபவள் i.e. சிவனின் அங்கத்தில் ஒரு பாதியைக் கொண்டவள் ie (ஷிரீகண்ட் என்னும் சிவன் இங்கு அர்த்தாரீஸ்வரராக உருவகப்படுகிறார்)

() ப்ரபாவத் = பிரகாசம் - சக்திவாய்ந்த

#393 ப்ரபாவதீ = பேராற்றலுடன் பிரகாசிப்பவள் *

* அஷ்டமாசித்திகளுக்கு பிரபா என்று பெயர். அன்னை அஷ்ட சித்திகளால் சூழப்படுகிறாள். பிரபாக்களால் சூழப்படுவதால் பிரபாவதீ என்றும் புரிதல்.

#396 பரமேஷ்வரீ = ஒப்புயர்வற்ற பேரரசி - பெருந்தேவி

() Shodasi = sixteen - Consisting of or having sixteen parts

#391 Nithya Shodashika Roopa = She who is eternally in the form of a Sixteen year old girl, signifying sixteen types of desires *

* Fifteen deities also refers to fifteen syllable panchadasakshari mantra and the sixteenth deity is Mother Lalitha TripuraSundari who with the final seed syllable completes it as Shodashi mantra. Shodashi is mentioned as another name for Mother Lalithaambika.

() Shrikant = Lord shiva (his throat-neck)

    Ardha = half

    Shareera = body

#392 Shrikant-ardha Shareerini = Who as ardhangini i.e. owns half of Shiva i.e. 

( Shrikant or Shiva being Ardhanareeshwara)

() Prabhavat = radiant - potent

#393 Prabhavathi = Who is powerfully radiant *

* Some explanation maintains that Mother is surrounded by ashtasidhis known as Prabha. Since she is surrounded by Prabhas, she is Prabhavathi.
